The Folk Art Centre in the heart of the village tells stories about the process of making Patachitra, the stories sung and drawn by the artists, the process through exhibition of diverse Patas, visual panels and original tools used by the artists. This is a must-visit for all the tourists coming to Pingla not only during festival but throughout the year.
Bahadur Chitrakar’s private museum is another attraction of the village Naya. The museum has age old collection of coins, manuscripts, paintings, masks, crafts from different parts of India and abroad. It’s a museum lover’s delight. And if you are lucky enough you might get a tour of the museum by Bahadur himself who explains the stories behind each item.
