Rupsona Chitrakar, 22 years old, is a patachitra artist of Pingla. Rupsona is an expert in painting on tribal themes. She started painting at the age of six and learnt from her father Bahadur Chitrakar and grandmother Baharjan Chitrakar. She paints on religious themes and works on apparels as well. She has participated in exhibitions and fairs in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore and Pune.

Rupsona Chitrakar had participated in the Copenhagen World Music Festival, 2017 and took her work to an international audience. The main purpose of that festival was to celebrate the diversity of Europe. Teams from India, Russia, the Baltic region, China, Cuba, Brazil and Morocco had participated to build avenues of multi-cultural exchange.
